The Chicago Tribune celebrated the best in architecture in 2018, including the US Pavilion's Dimensions of Citizenship and Jeanne Gang's energy efficient green building, Solstice on the Park. 

Historic Preservation alum Jill Tuinier (MS 2011) was recently featured in a story by Grotto Network titled "Restoring Beauty to Old Buildings."

Historic Preservation alum Kate Kelemen (SAIC 2007) was recently interviewed by Chicago Woman titled as their "Artist of the Week."

SAIC's student-run newspaper F Newsmagazine took home the 2018 Magazine Pacemaker award as well as several individual awards in the Pacemaker Pinnacle contest. 

A new gallery space Space p11, directed by Associate Professor and Director of Architecture, Interior Architecture and Designed Objects Jonathan Solomon and David L. Hays, associate professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will bring artistic design and performance to Chicago's Pedway.
