Dimensions of Citizenship Included on List of Chicago Architectural Events to See in 2019

The Chicago Tribune released a list of not to be missed architectural events in Chicago in 2019. Among the events mentioned was the American debut of the Venice Architecture Biennale's US Pavilion exhibition Dimensions of Citizenship at the Tadao Ando-designed art space Wrightwood 659. Commissioned by SAIC and the University of Chicago and curated by Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects (AIADO) Ann Lui, AIADO Lecturer Iker Gil, Mimi Zeiger, and Niall Atkinson, Dimensions of Citizenship will be on display from February 28 to April 27.

Also included on the list is the anticipated turning point for construction of the Obama Presidential Center. Associate Professor of Art Education Andres Hernandez (MA 2004), AIADO Lecturer Jennifer Park, and Norman Teague (MFA 2016) are part of the Chicago-based network of creatives assigned to the project. ArchDaily also took note of the exhibition. Read the full list of architecture events coming to Chicago in 2019 here.
