Teen Art Council Slated to Debut in Homan Square

The Teen Art Council, a new internship program for Chicago Public School high school students from North Lawndale, will kick off on June 15 at Nichols Tower in Homan Square reports Austin Weekly News. Five teens were selected for the inaugural internship program, who will work together to figure out how to improve and empower their community through art. "Ultimately, I hope the program continues to support the community as whole in providing space for teens to have a prominent voice in all of the amazing things that are coming out of North Lawndale," says Israel Pate, community outreach coordinator at SAIC.
