SAIC Receives $500,000 for Painting and Drawing Scholarships

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has received support from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation (HFF) to fund students studying in the Department of Painting and Drawing, as well as programs related to the foundation.

Through the Frankenthaler Scholarships, HFF, named after prominent painter and printmaker, Helen Frankenthaler, will make an endowment gift of $500,000 to create annual scholarships for selected students, who will be selected by faculty. In addition to the endowment gift, SAIC will receive funds to develop a program in association with HFF.
