SAIC's Holiday Art Sale Included on Tribune's Holiday Events List
The Chicago Tribune has announced its picks for 2018 holiday events in Chicago. Not to be missed is the Millennium Park Holiday Art Market, November 16–18, from 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., featuring work by more than 150 student artists from SAIC, Columbia College Chicago, and After School Matters. Stop by the heated tent on the Chase Promenade North to view jewelry, fashion, painting, sculpture, prints, and drawings made by students. Also on the list is the wreathing of the lions at the Art Institute of Chicago on November 23 and the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on November 17.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
