Forbes Features Alum Allison Zuckerman
Allison Zuckerman (Post-Bac 2013, MFA 2015) was featured in a Forbes article. Zuckerman’s work aims to reclaim female figures from the art historical canon and introduce them to the present by remixing the old with her own imagery. She likens her method to that of a DJ sampling music. Bold colors, collage style visuals, and an attempted reversal of the male gaze have won her recognition and a considerable following. On October 27 she will be exhibiting at the Akron Museum of Art.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
