Artforum Reviews Alum Aliza Nisenbaum's Show
Aliza Nisenbaum (BFA 2001, MFA 2005) opens up to Artforum about her process, her time at SAIC, her current show at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) and more. Much of Nisenbaum's work borrows from French Intimist painters and Mexican social realism to counter portraiture's history of maintaining social hierarchies.
