Chicago Tribune Reviews Show on Black Masculinity
KT Hawbaker (MA 2017), an editing assistant at the Chicago Tribune and recent New Arts Journalism graduate, reviewed Brotha: Rehumanizing the Dehumanized. Currently on view at The Overlook, the show assembles six artists' work that examines how ideas of Black masculinity are constructed. Among those artists is another recent graduate Darryl Terrell (MFA 2017), whose photos explore the intersections of blackness and queerness. The show is on view until August 30.
