SAIC Takes the Riverwalk

New public art installations have recently gone up along the riverfront as part of Chicago’s Year of Public Art initiative, including a noteworthy contribution by Associate Professor in Painting and Drawing Scott Reeder, according to TimeOut. The large gold sculpture, titled Real Fake, is on display at the northeast corner of Upper Wacker Drive and Wabash Avenue. A sculpture called Deer by alum Tony Tasset (MFA 1986) stands on the Riverwalk between Franklin and Lake Streets.

Another not-to-be missed addition is the series of seven banners designed by Painting and Drawing Professor Candida Alvarez, which are set to be hung throughout the Riverwalk in early July.
