Alum's Film Addresses Poverty in California

In 2012 and 2013 Natalie Bookchin (MFA 1990) interviewed over 100 people in homeless shelters, food banks, adult literacy centers and job training programs in the Bay Area and Los Angeles about their experiences living in poverty. Bookchin has compiled her interviews into a 45-minute film titled Long Story Short. The film (watch the trailer here) has recently been featured in Hyperallergic and screened at BRIC House in Brooklyn.
