Art History, Theory, and Criticism Professor Featured in BBC News

BBC News recently featured Alsdorf Professor of South and Southeast Asian Art History, Nora Taylor in an article illuminating a fascinating Singaporean hoarder, Koh Nguang How. Taylor said of Koh’s collection, which consists mostly of regional, cultural, and historical artifacts, “Unlike America or Europe, there hasn't really been an impulse to archive in the region. Part of the reason is materials are scarcer and they don't last as long in the climate, or political regimes have changed, or they're reminiscent of colonial impulses." Read more about Koh Nguang How’s extraordinary collection in the article "Koh Nguang How: Singapore's one-man museum" at BBC News.
