Student Receives 2016 Best International Feature Award
Zhengze Zhu's (MFA 2017) film Another Year has been awarded the 2016 Best International Feature Award by the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM). The film logs 13 dinners in 14 months with a working class Chinese family where intimate relationships are revealed as they discuss issues such as working conditions and the one-child policy. As RIDM discribes Another Year, "To a film that displays astonishing range in its personal social depiction of working class China, all while adhering to rigorous formal constraints." In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
