Alum Creates Labor-Transparent, Sustainable Home Goods

Dee Clements (BFA 2000) is the founder of Herron Studio, a sustainable and ecologically conscious textile manufacturer. Her latest works consist of pillows and table linens created from repurposed blanket remnants. “The whole collection is completely transparent in labor and fiber, or materials, which is special because it’s not something that’s really done in textiles,” Clements told Chicago magazine. Her work will be for sale in Dose Market’s pop-up event Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Morgan Manufacturing located at 401 North Morgan Street.
