Alum’s Collection Debuts on Space Museum Runway, Blasts Into Blogosphere

SAIC alum Eva Xu (Post-Bac 2011, MDes 2011) was recently featured on the blog A Shaded View of Fashion, in a piece titled “Light as a Feather: All Comes From Nothing SS17.” The post discussed Xu’s designs for her “creative chic brand,” All Comes From Nothing. Xu recently debuted a collection for spring and summer 2017 on the runway at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York City.

Xu’s hasn’t strayed too far from her art school training: “This season’s collection is inspired by the otherworldly light installations of American artist James Turrell,” Allison Taylor writes. “His signature luminescent shapes shine through in Xu’s design aesthetic.”
