SAIC Alum is Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez’s Go-To Poster Designer
SAIC Alum Kurt Volk (Animation) has been working with Robert Rodriguez and his Troublemaker Studios for well over a decade. In a recent interview with The Austin Chronicle, Volk discussed his career with the company, how it has evolved, and his creative process. He notes that for his Grindhouse poster he won the Key Art Award in 2008, "which is an award that nobody except movie poster designers care about, but it was really cool, because it was my first for-real, legit movie poster."
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
