Chicago Magazine Profiles Two Alumni as Rising Stars "Worth Investing In"
With the international art fair EXPO Chicago in full swing from September 18–21 and attracting both critics and collectors alike, Chicago magazine polled its art critics and curators for a list of the city’s upcoming artists whose work is worth the investment. Included on the list are SAIC alumni Assaf Evron (MFA 2013) and Andrew Holmquist (BFA 2008, MFA 2014). Evron is also currently exhibiting work at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, while Holmquist’s work is up at Heaven Gallery, and will also be shown at the EXPO.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
