F Newsmagazine Wins Best Newspaper, Other Accolades at 2014 Pacemaker Awards

The Associated College Press announced the 2014 Pacemaker and Individual award winners at this year's ACP/CMA National College Media Convention in Philadelphia. SAIC's student paper F Newsmagazine won in the four-year, non-daily newspaper category. It also won a number of Pinnacle Awards from the College Media Association, including first place for Newspaper of the Year (less than weekly, four-year college); Best Editorial Illustration (First Place); Best Special Section Cover (First Place); Best Magazine News Page (First Place); Best Newspaper Opinion Page (Second Place); Best Social Media Strategy (Second Place); Best Comic Strip (Second Place). Student contributors were also honored by the Associated Collegiate Press, with Freddie Eschrich (MFA 2014) coming in Fifth Place in Illustration, 2014 Design of the Year; and Tessa Elbettar (BFA) the Photo Excellence, Spot News Picture, Honorable Mention.
