Chicago Tribune Spotlights Faculty Member’s Soundscapes
Adjunct Associate Professor Eric Leonardson (Sound) was featured in the Chicago Tribune for his ongoing practice of recording soundscapes—the culmination and curation of everyday sounds into art. “It can be really sublime; it can be absurd,” says Leonardson of his creations. “Sound plays an important role in providing a sense of place. It is essential to our well-being.”
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
