PBS Program Interviews SAIC President on Art and Science

In an interview on Richard Heffner's Open Mind, SAIC President Walter Massey speaks about how SAIC's interdisciplinary curriculum encourages collaborations between art and science. As the former Director of the National Science Foundation and current President of a world-class school of art and design, Massey talks about his efforts to accelerate the collaborations between artists and scientists he found when he first joined the school five years ago. He highlights the Conversations on Art and Science lecture series and collaborations between SAIC students and University of Chicago science students, saying these exchanges “open up new ways of thinking about the world.”
