Los Angeles Times Features SAIC Alum’s Merging of Art and Comedy
The Los Angeles Times spotlights SAIC alum Casey Jane Ellison (BFA 2009) and her television and animation work that merges artistic practice with comedic persona. The paper refers to Ellison as “the thinking person’s artist-comedian.” As the host of her own online television series Touching the Art on the Ovation channel, Ellison will show three new episodes of the television series and one of her animations in the 2015 New Museum Triennial, Surround Audience, which opened Wednesday in New York.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
