The New York Times Reviews SAIC Alum’s NY Show

A review in the New York Times calls the current show by Saya Woolfalk (MFA 2004) “engagingly imaginative.” ChimaTEK: Hybridity Visualization System, a multimedia exhibition of paintings, animations, and installations was on view at Leslie Tonkonow Artworks + Projects through March 7. Woolfalk’s colorful, Afro-futurist works revolve around a sci-fi narrative in which humans are able to transcend the limits of racism, ethnocentrism, and sexism.
