F Newsmagazine Wins Gold Medalist Award at 31st Annual Gold Circle Awards
F Newsmagazine took home the prestigious Gold Medalist Award at the 31st Annual Gold Circle Awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, hosted by the Columbia University School of Journalism. The panel of judges, represented by media advisers from throughout the country, articulated F Newsmagazine’s excellence, noting, “There aren't enough superlatives to adequately acknowledge what the staff has accomplished. F is a visual feast for the eyes and a verbal adventure for the mind.” Judges evaluated 11,407 entries on 120 different points of detail, in print and online editions, for both content and design.
This has already been a successful year of recognition for the newspaper, with the Illinois College Press Association honoring F Newsmagazine with numerous awards, including first place for “Best Online News Site.”

In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
