President Walter Massey Honored with Award at DuSable Museum’s "Night of 100 Stars"

SAIC’s President Walter Massey was honored as one of the five 2015 recipients of the DuSable Museum History Makers Awards at the DuSable Museum of African American History’s Night of 100 Stars. The event, in which the esteemed awards are given to African American Chicagoans who have made outstanding contributions to society through their careers and civic engagement, was featured by ABC7.

Other 2015 honorees include Salli Richardson Whitfield, actress, producer, and director; Dewayne Collins, senior at Wendell Phillips Career Academy High School; Dr. Ian Smith, media personality and author; and Toni Preckwinkle, President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners.
