Ten SAIC Artists Featured on Newcity’s Breakout Artists of 2015 List
Newcity released its list of Breakout Artists 2015: Chicago’s Next Generation of Image Makers. Each of the ten artists on the list is associated in some way with SAIC through study or teaching. This year, Newcity is celebrating and advocating for these artists’ practices because of breakthroughs in their work. "[They are] breaking out into higher stakes, wider visibility, a broader range of media, or expansions of what art can accomplish," wrote Matt Morris for Newcity.
