The New York Times Explores Detroit’s Public Art

The New York Times article focuses on artists contributing to Detroit’s vibrant community. SAIC Professor Nick Cave’s (Fashion) performances, part of his exhibition at the Cranbrook Art Museum, play an important role in the revitalization of the city. The most recent performance was a collaboration with choreographer Marcus White, local dancers, and a D.J. staged at the Ruth Ellis Center, which serves homeless and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth.
