Michigan Avenue Magazine Asks Chicago Locals about Their Favorite Things

Two of the locals featured in Michigan Avenue magazine's “What to Do This Fall According to 4 Chicago Locals” are SAIC alum Maria Pinto (BFA 1990) and SAIC faculty member Nick Cave. Pinto sees fall as a time of renewal. She recommends finding inspiration at Lurie Garden and shares her love of painting, which she does in a studio at Mana Contemporary. Cave mentions EXPO Chicago as one of the most important cultural events of the season. Among Cave's recommendations are a visit to the West Loop galleries when they all open on the first Friday in September, and a trip to the Chicago Cultural Center.
