SAIC Alum's Solar Paper Design Raises More Than $1 Million on Kickstarter
Sen Chang (BFA 2010) raised more than $1 million on Kickstarter to fund Solar Paper, the world’s thinnest and lightest solar charger. The sleek and simple charger can fit inside of a notebook or planner to recharge smart phones or other devices via solar energy. Chang's design company, YOLK, aims to cut back on battery waste, making the world a greener place. The Solar Paper Kickstarter campaign received more than 6,000 backers and exceeded its initial $50,000 goal in one day.
