The Huffington Post Spotlights Chicago for Arts & Culture

Huffington Post declares last week as “THE time to be in Chicago.” The Huffington Post spoke with gallery owner Monique Meloche (MA 1993), who started Gallery Weekend Chicago (GWC) in 2011, about the buzz surrounding this year’s EXPO CHICAGO. EXPO doubled its /Dialogues programming that offers panel discussions of leading artists, curators, designers, and art professionals, presented in partnership with SAIC. One of the panels this year was a discussion between curator Hans Ulrich Obrist and the Chicago Imagists, Art Green (BFA 1965), Gladys Nilsson (BFA 1962), and Karl Wirsum (BFA 1961). The Huffington Post also mentions SAIC’s 150th alumni exhibition (on view until October 24).
