Nick Cave’s Here Hear is Number Two on Hyperallergic’s Top 10 Exhibitions List

Hyperallergic recently released its list of top 10 exhibitions of 2015, and taking the number two spot on the list is faculty member Nick Cave’s (Fashion Design) Here Hear at Cranbrook Art Museum in Michigan. The exhibition was a mix of old and new. Curated by Laura Mott, it included Cave’s Soundsuits and other works, as well as newly commissioned pieces.

Of the exhibition, Hyperallergic said that it was not just the work that was being showcased that made it outstanding, “it was the consistent engagement with Detroiters of all stripes in the creation of original dance pieces, photo and video shoots, and public celebrations that transcended traditional divisions between the city proper and its more affluent and whiter suburbs.”

Also included on the list as an honorable mention is Deana Lawson’s Ruttenberg Contemporary Photography Series at the Art Institute of Chicago.
