Dread Scott Visiting SAIC for a Public Lecture

Dread Scott (BFA 1989), known for his provocative work shown on campus What is the Proper Way to Display the US Flag?, which President Bush declared it “disgraceful” returns to SAIC this spring for a public lecture on February 15 in the MacLean Ballroom, 112 South Michigan Avenue. Since graduating from SAIC, Scott has exhibited artwork and performed at MoMA/PS1 and Pori Art Museum (Finland) among others. He is a recipient of grants from Creative Capital Foundation and Pollock Krasner Foundation, and his work is included in the collection of the Whitney Museum.
