SAIC Alum Jane Palmer awarded NSF grant
SAIC Alum Jane Palmer was awarded a $224,823 grant from the National Science Foundation for her NOON project. NOON is a natural production dye house in California that aims to improve the sustainability of commercial textile dyeing processes. NOON products are able to reduce water pollution, alleviate stress on limited water supplies, and improve factory health conditions through the use of plant-based material that Palmer hopes can serve as an alternative to chemical-based dyes.
