SAIC/CB2 Collaboration Spotlighted In Chicago Tribune

A recent article in the Chicago Tribune celebrates a line of designed objects created in collaboration between SAIC students and CB2. "Admittedly, the adjective 'student-made' doesn't always carry the best connotations," writes reporter Laura Pearson. "However, the 12 undergraduate and graduate students who designed this latest collection of furniture, lighting, storage and decor did so thoughtfully and methodically, working over the course of a year in an Industry Projects class, where they tooled and retooled their concepts."

Tasked with the concept of creating designs geared toward "living well," the dozen students brought their objects from inception to execution, gaining hands-on experience in marketing and merchandising along the way. Now available nationally and online, this second year of collaboration "is anything but amateur hour."
