Hermes Foundation Awards Alum Anastasia Douka a Residency

The Fondation d'entreprise Hermès has selected Anastasia Douka (MFA 2013) for its residency program this summer at the John Lobb workshop in Northampton, England. This prestigious artist residency program supports contemporary artists through direct funding for the production of new works. Artists are invited to work in situ in the Hermès workshops, drawing on the artisans' exceptional skills and using precious materials, in Douka's case leather.
Each artist residency is accompanied by a mentor. Richard Fishman, Professor of Visual Art at Brown University will serve as Douka's mentor, offering advice and support throughout this artistic journey. Douka will have the opportunity to develop and produce two examples of a project, one remaining in her sole property and the other entering the collection of the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès for display at the workshops and worldwide.
