Jenny Kendler (MFA 2006) Merges Activisim and Art for Nonprofit work

Jenny Kendler (MFA 2006)’s practice combines her passion for environmental activism and art. In her words, Kendler says “I’m trying to do something that looks like art, but functions like activism.” Named as the first artist-in-residence an environmental law and policy nonprofit, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), since 2014, Kendler’s works span on medium, such as her Grecian sculptures embedded with seeds that will eventually transform into a self-sustaining garden.
