Chicago Eater Features SAIC Alum’s New Restaurant

Chicago Eater recently caught up with SAIC alum Rajee Aryal (MFA 2013) to talk about the opening of her new restaurant in Logan Square.

Originally from Nepal, Aryal’s family owns a Nepalese restaurant in Minneapolis, where Aryal lived before moving to Chicago to study painting and drawing at SAIC in 2010. Now, Aryal is opening her restaurant, Chiya Chai, to brew and serve 15 different types of chai tea. Located at 2770 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chiya Chai is set to open June 7.
