Alum’s New Show to Air on NBC Comedy Channel
A new comedy series created by and starring SAIC alum Ian Eastin (BA 2000) will air on NBC comedy channel Seeso, as discussed recently by Deadline Hollywood. The show is titled Blackie Sack, and follows a character named Leon Sugarfoot, the world’s first black hackey sack player.
The show is part of a deal with Seeso and All Def Digital, a media empire that is striving to be “a leader in comedy and hip hop culture,” according to Deadline. The entirety of the 34 episode series will be available on Seeso’s streaming platform.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
