Chicago Tonight Features SAIC Alumni Exhibitions

WTTW’s Chicago Tonight recently featured two SAIC alums, Gina Litherland (BFA 1984) and Paul Lamantia (MFA 1968).

Both artists work with surrealist themes and have work in current exhibitions. Litherland’s exhibition is titled “Unknown Rooms,” at the Corbett vs. Dempsey Gallery in Chicago. Lamantia’s work is also currently on view in Des Plaines, at the Koehnline Museum of Art.

In addition to discussing the strange, surreal work of both artists, the article features quotes from the artists themselves, exhibition curators—and commentary by art critic and SAIC faculty member, Margaret Hawkins (New Arts Journalism).
