Statement by President Massey and Provost Tenny on Istanbul Airport Attack
We are deeply saddened by the horrific attack at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. As we’ve seen too many times before, this senseless act of extreme violence targeted innocent civilians.
We stand firm in our belief that creative communities such as ours have the power to inspire and to unite. We encourage you to show compassion to your fellow students, colleagues, and friends through your actions and words, especially members of the SAIC community who have been deeply impacted by this incident.
