SAIC Alum Hits the Road (and Newsstands) with Vintage Clothing Business

SAIC alum Sarah Azzouzi (BFA 2010) and her innovative business, Lost Girls Vintage, have recently received local and national press coverage. After studying fiber, textiles, and millinery at SAIC, Azzouzi went on to cofound a vintage clothing company with a unique business model: a shop that operates primarily out of a '70s camper van. In July, Chicago magazine named Lost Girls the “best new vintage store of 2016.” The Chicago Tribune also recently mentioned Lost Girls in its article “Boutiques follow food trucks in taking sales on the road.”

Lost Girls made national news this summer when they were profiled by cable channel HLN. “I always liked the idea of a mobile shop," says Azzouzi in the segment. This summer, Lost Girls set up a pop-up shop in Bucktown that was also shown in the video.
