September 2024: Faculty and Staff Accomplishments

Lecturer Frances Lightbound’s solo exhibition, Only Clouds Have No Edges, is on view at RULE Gallery in Marfa, Texas, through November 16. The exhibition includes printmaking, sculpture, works on paper, and site-specific installations that explore relationships between public and private space and associations between bodies, built spaces, language, and landforms.

Associate Professor Dawit L. Petros’ solo exhibition, Dawit L. Petros: Prospetto a Mare, opens at the Museum of Contemporary Photography on September 5. The exhibition continues Petros’ long-term investigation of the impact of Italian colonialism and its subsequent imprint on the visual cultures, populations, and built environments of Africa, Europe, and North America. It is on view through December 20.

Professor, Adj. Aram Han Sifuentes was featured in the international Ben and Jerry's campaign and commercial, “Make Some Motherchunkin' Change.”

Associate Professor Jade Yumang will be in residence through MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists, an artist-led and artist-centered program that marshals resources and strategies for creatives to pursue self-determined careers. Yumang also has an exhibition, Cast Your Net Far and Wide, on view at SHED Projects through September 28.
