SAIC Alum Dan O’Brien’s Churches of Chicago

Dan O’Brien (MS 2012) is no stranger to the city.  As an architect and preservationist, Dan has a keen interest in Chicago’s neighborhoods.  As a student at SAIC, Dan and classmate Christen Sundquist Martin (MS 2012) were selected as research assistants for Geoffrey Baer at WTTW. But even before that, Dan’s love of Chicago history and its neighborhoods was evident to his classmates and teachers, as he was affectionately dubbed “Mr. Chicago”.

On April 11. 2017, Dan returned “home” to WTTW and was featured on Chicago Tonight, with his study of Chicago’s neighborhood churches.  Read more here: http://chicagotonight.wttw.com/2017/04/11/during-lent-chicago-architect-turns-lens-neighborhood-churches
