Professor Drew Lindsay Nominated For Grammy Award
School of the Art Institute of Chicago Associate Professor of Liberal Arts Drew Lindsay was nominated for Best American Roots Song at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
Lindsay and his brother JT Nero co-write and co-produce under the name Dim Star. Together they wrote and produced Allison Russell’s latest album The Returner. The album’s single of the same name granted Lindsay his first GRAMMY nomination for Best American Roots Song.
Russell and the album were also nominated for Best Americana Album, Best Americana Performance, and Best American Roots Performance. Russell won the GRAMMY for the latter nomination with the song “Eve Was Black” co-written by Lindsay.
