Nicolay Duque-Robayo (MAHA ’21)

Nicolay Duque-Robayo (MAHA 21’) is an Art Historian, Curator, and Publisher from Bogota, Colombia (via Baltimore, MD) and currently based in Chicago, IL. Their current research is broadly focused in the categories of expertise as seen from non-western sites, as informed by a robust understanding of the colonial genealogy and non-Western formation of modern architecture and urbanism. Among their other research interest Nicolay is focused on the tension between global and intertwined histories of architecture, problems of methodology and interpretation, and reinterpretations of modernities. In the past they have studied photography, film, Kantian philosophy and connections between Eastern Europe and Latin America.
