Lydia Woods

Lydia Woods (SAIC ’14) is the Eastern Regional Reviewer for the Texas Historical Commission (SHPO) and covers 48 counties in the State of Texas. Her responsibilities include performing architectural review work, and providing technical assistance for preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration of historic properties. Lydia reviews projects that require review for Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the Antiquities Code of Texas, Recorded Texas Historic Landmarks, and State Antiquities Landmarks. Currently Lydia is working with the Historic Preservation Officer for NASA to come up with an appropriate restoration for the Mission Operations Control Room (MOCR) that served the Apollo program at NASA.
