Denise Alexander (SAIC ’03) is the Chief of Museums External Relations for the Galveston Historical Foundation where she oversees the operations of five historic sites including Bishop’s Palace (with over 60,000 visitors per year). Her role involves facilities maintenance, collections, retail, site staffing, strategic planning, organizational development, and nonprofit management. She is currently the Project Director for the Galveston History Project, a new initiative of GHF to connect visitors to individualized experiences rooted in the history of everyday Galveston residents. Denise is the author of Galveston’s Historic Downtown and Strand District.
