Ann Lui Named Designer of the Moment in Newcity

Assistant professor Ann Lui has been named the 2018 Designer of the Moment by Newcity. Lui is a founding partner of Future Firm, a Chicago-based architecture and design research office. Her work focuses on the role of architecture as an infrastructure for discourse. She holds a B.Arch from Cornell University and a SMArchS from MIT's History, Theory and Criticism program, where her research focused on corporate architecture in the postwar period. 

Lui is also currently a co-curator for “Dimensions of Citizenship,” the exhibition that will represent the United States in the U.S. Pavilion at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale along with Niall Atkinson, Associate Professor of Architectural History at the University of Chicago and Mimi Zeiger, an independent critic, editor, curator, and educator based in Los Angeles.
