2018 Venice Architecture Biennale

For centuries Venice has served as an architectural touchstone, drawing visitors from around the world to its elegant canals, grand palaces, and thriving contemporary culture. SAIC was selected by the US Department of State with the University of Chicago to commission the US Pavilion at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale. The exhibition, on view May to November at the world’s most prominent academic architecture showcase, challenges architects and designers to envision what it means to be a citizen today.
