Professor Emeritus Michiko Itatani’s (SAIC 1983–91) latest solo show, Michiko Itatani: Celestial Stage, is on view at the Wrightwood 659 gallery. The gallery will feature approximately 50 of Itatani’s paintings and drawings, all of which showcase Itatani’s use of “invented devices [that] acknowledge the human desire to reach beyond one’s capacity to know the unknown.”
