The Design Council Awards provide small grants to the top Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects (AIADO) in the programs of Master of Architecture, Master of Architecture with an emphasis in Interior Architecture, Master of Fine Studio, Designed Object, Design for Emerging Technologies and Architecture students upon graduation. Students are invited to apply for the awards though faculty of AIADO who, with input from member of the Design Council, choose the winners.
Two SAIC grads were recognized in the twenty-ninth annual Schiff Foundation Fellowship for Architecture and twelfth annual Fellowship for Critical Architectural Writing.
The Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects chose social justice theses from three SAIC students as meritorious.
