SAIC Scholarships & Grants For Graduate Students

• You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your financial need. 
• Eligibility may also depend on your enrollment status (full-time/part-time) and specific financial criteria set by SAIC 

1. Complete the FAFSA: Submit your FAFSA as early as possible to ensure your financial need is assessed. 
2. Submit Additional Documents: You may be required to provide supplementary financial information or documents. 
3. Review Notifications: Once your application is processed, check your SAIC email for scholarship offers. 

In order to be eligible for need-based aid, please file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov (even if you’re unsure if you’ll qualify). Remember to file your FAFSA as soon as possible as some types of assistance are limited. An official award letter and an email outlining your financial aid offer will be sent to you once your file has been reviewed and your eligibility has been determined.

October 1 — New FAFSA opens for next award year. File your FAFSA as soon as possible so your financial aid is reflected in your award letter.

January 1 — SAIC priority deadline for completing the FAFSA. 

January 15 — SAIC begins sending award letters for eligible new students who have completed a FAFSA.

April 15 — SAIC begins sending award letters for eligible continuing students who have completed a FAFSA.

• What It Is: Automatically awarded to master's degree-seeking students demonstrating exceptional ability.
• Eligibility: Must be enrolled at least half-time and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
• Award Amount: Covers 50-100% of tuition; renewable upon completion of all attempted credits each semester.
• How to Apply: No separate application is required; all eligible students are considered during the admissions process.

• What It Is: Awarded to Post-Baccalaureate Certificate students during the admissions process.
• Eligibility: Must be enrolled at least half-time in a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program.
• Award Amount: Covers 50% of tuition; renewable each semester upon successful completion of 75% of attempted credits.
• How to Apply: No separate application is required; all eligible students are considered during the admissions process.

• What It Is: Offered to students demonstrating exceptional ability, selected during the admissions process.
• Eligibility: Must be enrolled at least part-time in a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program.
• Award Amount: Provides 30% of tuition; renewable each year with successful completion of 75% of attempted credits.
• How to Apply: No separate application is required; all eligible students are considered during the admissions process.

• What It Is: Identified during admissions; awarded based on merit, academics, and need.
• Eligibility: Must be a master’s or Post-Baccalaureate Certificate student enrolled at least half-time.
• Award Amount: Offers 20% of tuition per year; renewable upon completion of 75% of attempted credits.
• How to Apply: No separate application is required; all eligible students are considered during the admissions process.

• What It Is: Awarded to master’s or Post-Baccalaureate Certificate students based on merit and need.
• Eligibility: Must be seeking a master’s or Post-Baccalaureate Certificate and enrolled at least half-time.
• Award Amount: Grants $2,000 per year, renewable with completion of 75% of attempted credits.
• How to Apply: No separate application is required; all eligible students are considered during the admissions process.
   

• What It Is: Assists students committed to advancing art and design in China; limited to three recipients annually.
• Eligibility: Must meet specific criteria, including financial need, first in family to attend college, and familiarity with Chinese culture.
• How to Apply: Interested students should submit a separate application as part of the admissions packet, detailing their qualifications.
